Southampton Cultural Center Southampton Cultural Center, 25 Pond Ln, Southampton, NY, USA

East End Jazz, in collaboration with the Southampton Cultural Center, is thrilled to announce a new monthly jazz jam session. The “East Meets West Jazz Jam Session” is a free event with no admission charge, designed to bring the community together through a shared love of music.

The series kicks off on Sunday, October 5th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Southampton Cultural Center, located at 25 Pond Lane in Southampton. The sessions will continue on the first Sunday of every month through the end of the year.

The inaugural session will feature a special 30-minute opening performance by a quartet led by Peter Watrous, a former New York Times jazz critic and curator of the music series at the Arts Center at Duck Creek. The house band for the day will include Watrous on guitar, Jane Hastay on piano, Iris Ornig on bass, and Brian Woodruff on drums. The featured opening acts for November and December will be announced at a later date.

All musicians, vocalists, music lovers, friends, and family are invited to attend. Come and experience the magic of jazz, get to know your local music community, and get inspired to create and improvise.
