
The North Fork Art Collective in Greenport presents the opening of two new exhibitions this summer: “The Bloom Room,” a group show celebrating the flora and fauna of the East End, and “The Gardener’s Daughter,” a solo exhibition by artist and curator Kara Hoblin, presenting a new body of work for the first time in over a year. Artists included in “The Bloom Room” include Melissa Flotteron, Madeline Daversa, Julia Shi, Charles Wildbank, Daniel Jones, Josi Friedrich, Scott Bluedorn, Verona Peñalba, Ella Cannistra, Jackie Dandelion, Kerry Sharkey Miller, Karine Laval, Anna Jurinich, Kate Gerstner, Ria Anasagasti, Ty Stroudsburg, Harriet Sharkey, Andrea Cote, Julia Goldman, Marta Beaumiller, and Ellen Wiener.
Both shows will open simultaneously at the North Fork Art Collective’s gallery space, located at 207 Main Street, offering visitors a vibrant and immersive experience that celebrates the natural beauty of our region through a diverse range of artistic perspectives.

“The Bloom Room” spotlights the rich tapestry of local plant and animal life, inviting viewers to explore the textures, colors, and forms that shape the East End’s unique ecosystems. From wildflowers to wetlands, pollinators to native species, this exhibit serves as a joyful and thoughtful tribute to nature’s most captivating muses.
Opening alongside “The Bloom Room” is “The Gardener’s Daughter,” a solo exhibition by artist and North Fork Art Collective founder Kara Hoblin. This marks Kara’s first time debuting a new body of work in over a year, offering an intimate exploration of nature, memory, and creative resilience. Known for her distinctive style rooted in environmental advocacy and impermanence, Kara’s latest series promises to inspire and engage both new and longtime audiences.
