In a gesture of community support, Corcoran Cares, the in-house nonprofit arm of the Corcoran Group, has made a notable donation to benefit Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH) through the ELIH Foundation.
The check display occurred on September 13 at Corcoran’s Westhampton Beach office. Mary Slattery, a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker, and Ernie Cervi, Regional Senior VP and co-chair of Corcoran Cares, presented the donation to Sheri Winter Parker, an ELIH Foundation Board Member who had nominated the foundation for this contribution.
Parker’s relationship with SBELIH runs deep. Ms. Parker joined the ELIH Foundation Board after she proclaimed that SBELIH & Stony Brook Medicine saved her life when faced with COVID during the early days of the pandemic.
Paul Connor, SBELIH’s Chief Administrative Officer, expressed gratitude for the gift. “We were honored to be selected as a beneficiary of Corcoran Cares, an organization that contributes so much to our community,” he said. We are deeply grateful to Sheri Winter Parker for her unwavering support of our hospital.”
The funds are committed to facility projects aimed at enhancing the patient experience, providing greater comfort, and creating a more healing environment for patients.
Corcoran Cares has a history of philanthropic endeavors, having donated more than $4 million to charities in its service areas since its inception. The organization’s contributions come from agents and staff members across the Corcoran Group, reflecting a coordinated commitment to improving local quality of life.
