East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation will host its annual Maritime Festival from September 23 to 24 in partnership with the Village of Greenport.
Visitors can view classic boat displays and enjoy kayak races, music, maritime demonstrations, children’s activities, and shop about 100 vendors. The festival benefits educational programs, the preservation of Long Beach Bar (Bug) Light, and museum offerings.
The festive Merfolk parade will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. followed by the costume awards ceremony at noon. Visit Eventbrite to register.
Prior to the festival, the Land & Sea Gala will be held on Friday, September 22 at Claudio’s from 5:30 to 9:30 PM. Visit eastendseaport.org.
Claudio’s Tavern and Grill, Claudio’s Waterfront and Crabby Jerry’s will all host events to honor the Maritime Festival. Claudio’s Tavern and Grill will have a pop-up kitchen featuring baked clams, lobster rolls, clam chowder and baked goods and Crabby Jerry’s will offer Breakfast by the Bay from 8 to 11 AM. The Waterfront Wharf will feature a beer garden, ping-pong, cornhole, beer pong, kan jam and more and Crabby Jerry’s Wharf will have a community corner, face painting, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and magic show.
Live music will be available at Crabby Jerry’s and Claudio’s Waterfront. The beer garden will feature Samuel Adams, Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ale, Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Stella Artois and Eastern Front Brewing Co.
