An event to celebrate the launch of the Share2Share artist interview video series, which profiles artists of the East End, will be held on Earth Day, April 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at LTV Studios in East Hampton.
The inauguration will be open to the artists, their guests, and the general public. During this brief gathering, guests will be presented with a short compilation of the 23 artist videos created for phase 1 of the Share2Share project, which will be broadcast on LTV as well as Share2Art.com.
“The Share2Share project began as a message sent from the ether which told us of the importance of forming a tribe or community that shares ideas and skills and inspires its members to continue creating and growing. Without hesitations or preconceptions, we proceeded full speed ahead to pay heed to this message,” said a statement from the project creators, Eva Iacono and Walter Sanchez.
“With this motivation, we reached out to artists to see if they would take part in our Share2Share project. We sought to profile artists of the East End of Long Island yet we wanted to do so in such a manner that we not only included the artist speaking about her/his works, but we also wanted to draw back the curtain to reveal who the artist is as a human being.”
Artists included in the project are Rob Calvert, Darlene Charneco, Janet Culbertson, Nadine Daskaloff, Willy Fuentes, Robin Gianis, Jim Gingerich, Justin Greenwald, Hiroyuki Hamada, Eva Iacono, Nathan Slate Joseph, Teresa Lawler, Bruce Lieberman, Paton Miller, Oscar Molina, Roy Nicholson, Walter E Sanchez, Anne Seelbach, Carlos A Sesia, David Slater, Kathryn Szoka, Aurelio Torres, and Dan Welden.
