The Southampton Hospital Foundation presents the return of its fifth annual East Hampton Emergency Department Luncheon, taking place on Thursday, July 17, at Maidstone Club in East Hampton.
This year’s featured guest is Aerin Lauder—style icon, author, and founder of AERIN—who will speak about her newest book, “Living with Flowers,” a celebration of timeless beauty, personal style, and the power of florals to elevate everyday life. The event benefits the Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department, which opened its doors in May 2025.
“I am honored to support the East Hampton Emergency Department,” said Lauder. “I have a strong connection to this community and recognize how essential it is for both residents and visitors to have access to quality healthcare. I am also looking forward to sharing more about my newest book and the inspiration behind it at the Luncheon.”
The conversation will be moderated by Mary Margaret Trousdale, with special guest Michael Giannelli, owner of East Hampton Gardens, joining Lauder on stage to share creative ideas for floral design.
Jill Davis, Kate Davis, Hollis Forbes, Liz Lange, and Mary Margaret Trousdale serve as co-chairs of this annual fundraiser, which supports the new emergency facility serving the South Fork.
“This Luncheon is more than a summer tradition—it’s a call to action. In just the first weeks, the East Hampton Emergency Department has proven how urgently this care is needed,” noted Forbes. “We are so fortunate to have Aerin Lauder with us this year to help shine a light on the importance of sustaining this critical resource for our community. We’re also thrilled to welcome East Hampton Gardens owner Michael Giannelli to the stage—his signature floral style and creative eye, paired with Aerin’s timeless elegance, promise to inspire guests with fresh, seasonal ideas that celebrate the beauty of the East End.”
