Sound View in Greenport continues its Uncommon Art Residence Program. The hotel has invited a group of emerging artists, who live and work throughout the property during their residency, to be inspired by the North Fork.
Abstract action painter Noami Clark is in residence through March 17. An active painting activation will be held Thursday, March 16, from 1 to 2 PM, where guests can participate in Clark’s Sound View Action Painting. Clark uses various materials to activate her paintings in natural elements, in this case the Long Island Sound. Calling all polar bears, in this activation participants will venture into the water as a group. RSVP here. From March 17 to 24, installation artist Karen Anavy, will be in residence. An artist open studio will be held on Wednesday, March 20, from 12 to 4 PM. Stop by Anavy’s pop-up studio on property in the Gathering room. This is a casual event, guests are free to visit during open studio hours. RSVP here.
