Emmy-winning standup comedian and actress Amy Schumer
will perform live at The Clubhouse in East Hampton on July 23.
NY-based producers Murmrr Presents and The Clubhouse teamed up to produce the event. A portion of all proceeds from the show will be donated to The Retreat, a local East End organization, whose mission is to provide safety, shelter, and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence.
“As the East End’s only domestic violence organization, The Retreat applauds Miss Schumer’s courage and generosity in support of survivors,” said a statement from The Retreat.
Three tiers of tickets can be purchased for the show at murmrr.com. A barbeque pregame will precede Schumer’s performance, followed by an afterparty DJed by special guests MGMT.
From touring theaters and arenas all over the world, Schumer is the only female comic to headline Madison Square Garden. Schumer’s new comedy series “Life & Beth” recently premiered on Hulu and has been picked up for a second season. She co-hosted the 94th Academy Awards alongside Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall on Sunday, March 27 on ABC.
