Nameless Writers Salon Returns For 15th Installment With Acclaimed & Bestselling Authors At Sound View Greenport

The acclaimed literary series Nameless Writers Salon returns for its 15th installment on Tuesday, May 26, at Sound View Greenport. Hosted by artist and curator Kara Hoblin, the evening’s theme, “Becoming,” explores the literary journeys that shape who we are,  through power, place, history, myth, reinvention, emotional inheritance, and transformation.

Set within The Library at Sound View Greenport, the salon will feature celebrated and bestselling authors Chris Pavone, Brooke Lea Foster, Annie Hartnett, Jennifer O’Brien, and Mary Latham for an intimate evening of readings, conversation, and community. Additional readers may be announced.

Now in its third season, Nameless Writers Salon has become a beloved East End cultural gathering, bringing nationally recognized literary voices together alongside local creatives in a salon-style setting inspired by historic literary circles. The series was co-created by Kara Hoblin and author Matthew Daddona in 2024 and has quickly developed a devoted following across the North Fork arts and literary community.

Chris Pavone, author of “The Expats” and the recent bestseller “The Doorman,” is widely recognized for his sophisticated literary thrillers exploring power, privilege, and identity. His work has appeared on major bestseller lists worldwide, with “The Doorman” named one of The New York Times’ notable books of 2025 and selected for 2026 Long Island Reads.

Annie Hartnett, award-winning author of “Rabbit Cake, Unlikely Animals,” and “The Road to Tender Hearts,” is celebrated for fiction that blends dark humor, emotional depth, and mythic undertones. Her latest novel received the 2025 New England Book Award for Fiction.

Brooke Lea Foster

Brooke Lea Foster, bestselling author of “Summer Darlings,” “On Gin Lane,” and “Our Last Vineyard Summer,” is known for her emotionally layered fiction exploring modern womanhood, ambition, identity, and reinvention against luxurious coastal backdrops.

Jennifer O’Brien

Jennifer O’Brien joins the salon following the release of her debut novel “The Summer I Found You,” a romance deeply inspired by the North Fork and Sound View itself. Through her work as creator of the widely followed City Farmhouse platform, O’Brien has built a devoted audience around storytelling, design, home, and emotional connection.

Mary Latham

Mary Latham, photographer, author, and creator of the global storytelling project “More Good,” brings a deeply human and community-centered perspective to the evening through her work documenting acts of kindness, vulnerability, and connection across the country.

“Becoming” invites audiences into stories of transformation — the versions of ourselves we inherit, reject, reinvent, and ultimately grow into. Through themes of memory, ambition, belonging, grief, love, and reinvention, the evening examines the ongoing process of becoming who we are.

The salon remains free and open to the public in the spirit of art being shared accessibly within the community, though RSVP is required due to limited seating. Burton’s Books will be onsite with featured titles available for purchase, and authors will participate in a signing following the readings.
