818 Tequila Celebrates National Tequila Day At The Surf Lodge

818 Tequila, the handcrafted tequila brand founded by Kendall Jenner, celebrated National Tequila Day at The Surf Lodge in Montauk on Friday, July 24, as part of its “Best Summer Ever” campaign, bringing together creators, tastemakers, industry insiders, and friends of the brand for an evening of specialty 818 tastings, frozen 818 Slushies, and waterfront summer celebrations.

Throughout the summer, you can find 818 Tequila at bars on the East End including Beach Bar, Margarita Grille, Shagwong Tavern, and The Green Room at Sag Harbor Cinema.

818 Tequila Kiwi Basil Margarita

818 Tequila shares a recipe for its Kiwi Basil Margarita.

• 2 oz 818 Tequila Blanco
• 1 Kiwi
• 0.5 oz Cointreau
• 1 Lime
• 0.75 oz Agave
• 4-5 Basil Leaves

Method

• Add kiwi and basil to a cocktail shaker. Muddle well to release the basil oils. Then add 818 Tequila Blanco, Cointreau, juice of 1 lime, and agave.
• Fill the shaker with ice. Shake until cold and frosty.
• Add a large ice cube to a cocktail glass. Strain cocktail over ice and garnish with a kiwi slice and basil leaves.
