For its 2026 annual benefit on Sunday, August 2, Generation S.O.S. presents an evening of entertainment and inspiration with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and award-winning actor Jason Biggs. As the program highlight, Smith and Biggs will talk about Smith’s own journey with substance misuse and other mental health challenges.
The program will include brief talks by teens and young adults whose lives have been impacted by Generation S.O.S. — a unique national nonprofit organization that brings life-saving, peer-to-peer mental health and substance misuse prevention support to teens and young adults at schools and institutions nationwide, now in its eighth year.
The emcee for the event is Sophie Sumner, social media influencer, actress, and winner of
“America’s Next Top Model.” Live music will be provided by Cold Spring Harbor Band, led by Beckett Smith, with Chad Smith sitting in. The dynamic, entertaining Christopher J. Hanke will host the live auction featuring tickets to exclusive sporting events, vacation packages to premier destinations, custom fine jewelry, and more.
