The Ladies’ Village Improvement Society will hold its Annual Fair on Saturday, June 13, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the historic Gardiner Brown House, located at 95 Main Street in East Hampton. This beloved community event, which has been ongoing since 1896, will this year commemorate America’s 250th anniversary through various partnerships and engaging programming.

The LVIS fair will feature over thirty complimentary activities for children and families, including a carousel, live music, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, princesses, roving entertainment, crafts, a children’s playland, and more.

“The fair is our gift to the community and reflects local volunteerism in action,” said LVIS Executive Director Rachel Cooper.

This year’s event includes collaborations with local nonprofit organizations including Guild Hall, the East Hampton Library, The Garden Club of East Hampton, and the East Hampton Historical Society, each presenting interactive, history-inspired activities celebrating local heritage and community traditions.

“In this milestone year for the nation, these partnerships honor both our shared history and the traditions that continue to shape East Hampton,” said Lauren Betesh, LVIS Fair Chair.

The Silent Auction Booth will feature exclusive golf, tennis, fitness, entertainment, and travel experiences, plus food, wine, and house & garden offerings, as well as an array of specialty items donated by the local community.

The popular plants booth returns with annuals, perennials, native Long Island plants, hanging baskets, ornamental grasses, and deer-resistant varieties sourced from regional growers. Guests can also participate in hands-on gardening activities including birdhouse decorating and green bean planting.

The Vintage Booth will offer unique designer and archival pieces from labels such as Gucci, Pierre Cardin, Prada, Versace, and YSL, all at affordable prices.

The Sweet Treats Booth will feature homemade baked goods, while local food trucks will serve cold-brew coffee, donuts, lobster rolls, pizza, hot dogs, candy, and ice cream. Visitors can relax at picnic tables, dine outdoors, and enjoy the day’s excitement and action.

The Gardiner Brown House, built in 1740 and connected to the American Revolution, serves as a fitting backdrop for this year’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Proceeds from the fair support LVIS initiatives including student scholarships, landmark preservation, environmental conservation, and village beautification efforts.
