Spend Sunday, April 23 exploring the work of American Poet Grace Schulman at The Church in Sag Harbor at 2 PM. “Again, the Dawn: New and Selected Poems, 1976-2022,” is Schulman’s latest book of poems and her crowning achievement to date. Schulman splits her time in New York and East Hampton, drawing inspiration from the hectic urban life and from the contrasting calm beauty of the East End.
“Again, the Dawn” is constructed of poems from eight books and includes a wide variety of new poems. This collection spans across decades but the power of Schulman’s world perspective is as relevant as ever. Schulman ranges through grief, politics, the world, art, and music, as well as human joys and sufferings.
She will speak on her life in poetry and her life in the East End and will share new poems inspired by Springs. Following Schulman’s reading will be a Q&A and the afternoon will end with a book signing with books provided by Canio’s Books.
The event is free for members and $10 for non members.
