On Thursday, August 7, leading global design company DEDON celebrated the spirit of outdoor living at the 24th annual Hampton Designer Showhouse in collaboration with Tuuci and The Laurel Group. Design industry and local Hamptons guests enjoyed summer spritzes and stunning surroundings poolside at the Bridgehampton estate.

“The Hamptons in the summer has a vibrancy and life that echoes that of the DEDON brand,” said Patrick Troy, President and CEO of DEDON US. “We’re excited to be a part of the 24th annual Hampton Designer – providing our craftsmanship as a tool to the designers who created each space across the property. Designing a home is about creating the space where people live, and our DEDON mix of color and silhouettes punctuates those moments with the Hamptons summer spirit of escaping the city and socializing in the open air.”

As guests stepped into the ground floor of the pool house, designed by Cathy Cherry, Founding Principal, Purple Cherry Architects, they marveled at the breathtaking room exclusively furnished with DEDON pieces. “The inspiration behind our space [the pool house] started with the transformation of a stark structural column into a beautiful custom plaster tree growing up and onto the surrounding ceiling,” said Cherry. “This organic centerpiece shaped the overall design vision, including the selection of the beautiful DEDON Swingrest swings, which were thoughtfully suspended beneath the tree’s branches. Collaborating with the DEDON team was a true pleasure – they were helpful, responsive, and supportive, and their pieces are well fabricated, sophisticated, and incredibly comfortable.”

Designed by Giovanna Fiorello, Owner and Principal Designer of Fiorello Designs, the balcony of the upper floor of the poolhouse and the entire backyard pool surround were also outfitted with DEDON’s handwoven furniture and accented by a striking architectural pergola and parasols by Tuuci. “Like DEDON, my design philosophy centers around creating environments that invite connection, comfort, and calmness, where every decision is driven by how people feel in the space,” said Fiorello. “I was inspired by the easy, breezy vibe of Mediterranean living and wanted to bring that sense of calm to a modern backyard setting. As I developed the floor plan, I focused on creating intentional moments throughout the [pool surround] space, whether it’s a quiet spot for lounging by the pool, a shaded daybed for reading, or a conversation area under the Tuuci pergola. DEDON’s pieces strike a beautiful balance between sculptural design and pure comfort, which gave me so much freedom to create a space that feels both high-end and deeply livable.”

The Hampton Designer Showhouse is open for ticketed public tours 11 AM to 5 PM, Thursdays through Sundays, until Sunday, August 31, with proceeds going towards Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
