Rams Head Inn on Shelter Island held its first annual Winterfest, featuring a 15ft+ sustainable tree from local nursery White Oak Farm as the headliner for the ceremony to promote and support nature conservation, a core value at the inn. As part of this, Arielle Gardner of Little Spoon South Fork hosted two outdoor birdseed ornament making popups that focused on creativity and collaboration.
Families also enjoyed stories by children’s Author, Billy Baldwin, who brought his giant book to add fun to the experience. Closing out story-time was a cookie decorating table complimented by a parent’s mixology class hosted by Ram Head Inn Mixologist Krista Porreca.
While the firepit was roaring with s’mores, hot cocoa, and cider, the East End Arts organization featured a few musical numbers from their talented young members. Closing the night was local musician, Vanessa Trouble singing holiday classics accompanied by piano.
