The Southampton Fresh Air Home’s second Concourse d’Elegance was held on Saturday, August 26. The morning started with a few sprinkles but it did not deter an outstanding group more than 75 of car and motorcycle owners who arrived to offer guests a glimpse at many outstanding vehicles.
More than 350 car enthusiasts and SFAH supporters enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by Thyme and Again, beer from Other Half and wines from Wither Hills and Argyle while strolling the rolling hills of the Fresh Air Home property to view the curated collection of vintage cars.
There was boutique shopping and activities for children including fire engines, a vintage Good Humor Ice Cream truck, face painting, crafts and a special visit from Barbie standing next to a pristine pink 1952 Muntz Jet. A pop-up art gallery by FORMah, the Top Hops Half Pint Beer Truck and a selection of Jim Freeman’s Trophies and Magazine articles giving a retrospective on his years in the International Motor Sport Circuit were true highlights of the event.
At the awards ceremony Chuck Scarborough, who entered his 1967 Austin Healy, joined Rome Arnold, the event’s founder and coordinator, to help announce the overall winners of the day. The winners were:
