“Stripped: Music that Changed Our World,” featuring artwork by Steve Joester, will be on display at the White Room Gallery in East Hampton from April 23 to May 11.
“Rock n roll. A camera. An eye. Can you imagine if performance shots of Jagger, Blondie, Grace, and Marley came with a live track? Music has always been a catalyst for change, but seeing the nascence of such talents through one fabulous lens makes you wonder if they knew how impactful their art would turn out to be. This exhibit chronicles the journeys of legendary music icons where they came to life most. On the stage,” said a statement about the show from gallery owners Andrea McCafferty and Kat O’Neill.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 6 to 8 PM. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Save The Music.
