A group show curated by painter Mark Perry will take place at Ashawagh Hall in Springs on July 16 to 20. An opening reception will take place on Saturday, July 17, from 5 to 8 PM.
The show will be the second curatorial endeavor by Perry, and includes some of the artists from his 2018 curatorial debut, including Roy Nicholson, Denise Gale, Gus Yero, George Singer, Scott Bluedorn, and John Haubrich with two additions, Laurie Hall and Kirsten Benfield, as well as Perry.
Perry visited studios and selected works from the artist’s archives, almost all previously unseen. With a heavy concentration on painting, the show focuses on landscape, abstraction, and the convergence of nature in both. There are also some collage and mixed media works to round out the show.
