ARF Hamptons Pet Celebration Day & 50th Anniversary

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF Hamptons) will hold its Pet Celebration Day and 50th Anniversary on Saturday, May 18, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the ARF Adoption Center in East Hampton. The public is invited to bring the whole family, pets too, for a tail-wagging pet fair dedicated to the joy our cats and dogs bring and the impact of ARF’s rescue efforts for the last 50 years and the next 50 years to come. Admission to the event is free.

To help ARF celebrate 50 years of caring for animals, elected officials, including New York Senator Anthony Palumbo, Assemblyman Fred Thiele, and East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, will be on hand to make proclamations to honor the organization.

The festivities will include music, vendors, contests, the dog agility course, “Ask the Trainer,” free nail clipping, free microchipping, plus coffee donated by Hampton Coffee Company, a candy station donated by Dylan’s Candy Bar, and more sweet treats donated by Lexus of Southampton and Mercedes Benz of Southampton. Food will also be available for purchase from the Buddhaberry and Mattitaco food trucks. Plus, meet ARF’s cats and dogs that are available for adoption.

Attendees can also learn about ARF’s programs and services, including the Operation Cat TNR program, dog training and socialization classes, volunteer opportunities, lemonARF, and ARF’s Pet Food Pantry. Guests are asked to donate pet food or treats to the pantry and are encouraged to take part in ARF’s 50th Anniversary Mosaic Photo Installation. James Lane Post will also be on hand to announce the annual Pet Photo Contest winners.
