Spearheaded by 27-year-old Bailey Berro, the Fourth The Kids Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser Friday, July 1, at The Clubhouse in East Hampton.
Berro, a part-time East End resident since 2004, began the event in 2015, in his backyard with the help of friends Zach Zimmerman, Dan Katzman, and others. With the intent to harness the impact of his peers, in 2019 the nonprofit Fourth The Kids directed the party energy toward raising funds for charities devoted to the wellbeing of teens and young adults.
One hundred percent of the ticket sales are donated to the annual recipient. To date, Fourth The Kids has raised over $200,000. Past recipients have included The Jed Foundation, Posse.org, and Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
In recent years the focus has shifted to donating to mental health concerns. This year’s recipient is The Madhappy Foundation.
