Guild Hall in East Hampton is celebrating 15 years of its Stirring the Pot series featuring conversations hosted by Florence Fabricant with culinary celebrities.
The season kicks off on Sunday, June 21, with Padma Lakshmi, an Emmy-nominated producer, creator and host of CBS’s “America’s Culinary Cup,” food expert, and New York Times bestselling author. Padma will discuss her 2025 book, “Padma’s All American—Tales, Travels, and Recipes from Taste the Nation and Beyond: A Cookbook, ” with Florence.

On Sunday, July 19, Fabricant will speak with James Beard Award winner Kwame Onwuachi — a chef, restaurateur, and author of the bestseller “Notes from a Young Black Chef.” They will have an engaging conversation about his culinary journey. Onwuachi is the chef and partner of Tatiana in New York City, one of the country’s most acclaimed restaurants, as well as Dōgon and Patty Palace by Chef Kwame.

On Sunday, August 23, the series will feature Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper, owners of the iconic Russ & Daughters on the Lower East Side. They’ll share stories from their family’s historic shop, highlighting a century of smoked fish, bagels, and New York food culture, and talk about their new book, “Russ & Daughters: 100 Years of Appetizing.” To make the event even sweeter, every guest will go home with one of their legendary black-and-white cookie.

The series wraps up on Sunday, August 30, with Florence Fabricant as the guest, celebrating her upcoming memoir, “Salty, Not Sweet: A Life in the Food World.” Interviewed by New York Times writer James Barron, Florence will discuss her decades-long pursuit of new dining experiences, the evolution of food and restaurant culture in the U.S. and abroad, and her key role in reporting on it as a food writer.
Each event begins at 11 AM and features a pre-show breakfast courtesy of Citarella. Book signings follow each talk. Visit guildhall.org for more info.
