And this year, Holiday House is shaking things up, giving the classic ritual a fresh coat of design-focused gloss.
August 14, The Summer Table lands in Bridgehampton, turning a home at 6 Windy Hill Lane into a stage for all kinds of gatherings. Lavish tablescapes, curated design moments, rooms made to celebrate the simple joy of coming together. It’s not just another showhouse — it’s an immersive look at hospitality, summer living, and the rituals that bring us together.
The curtain rises with an Opening Night Gala, where VIPs get first dibs from 5 to 6 PM before the doors swing wide for everyone else until 9. If you miss the party, don’t worry, as the showhouse stays open to the public through August 30, Wednesday to Sunday from late morning to late afternoon.
Holiday House has always blurred the line between style and social impact. Iris Dankner started it in 2008. She’s a breast cancer survivor, and this event is all about raising money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Over the years, the showhouses in New York City, the Hamptons, even London, have brought glamour and generosity under one roof.
This time, the designers aren’t just posturing rooms — they’re crafting spaces that revolve around the act of entertaining. Tables aren’t just set. They’re staged. Installations unfold into little scenes of summer pleasures, and every styled corner is a new spin on the age-old art of gathering and breaking bread.
Dankner leads the charge, backed by co-chairs Campion Platt and Andrea Stark, design chairs Preston Bailey and Vicente Wolf, and Jean Shafiroff as philanthropy chair. The list of participating designers reads like a who’s-who: Ally Coulter Designs with Versace Home, Andrea Stark, ARTE, COC Interiors with Current Home, Duggan Society, Fiorello Designs, Helen Bergin Interiors, Maila Vilhjalmsson, Pria and Riese Design, and the roster goes on.
