Astronomers are mapping the universe with unprecedented precision, revealing secrets about our cosmic history—and inviting all of us to make discoveries alongside them. Join Hamptons Observatory and co-host
East Hampton Library for an engaging presentation by renown astrophysicist Dr. Charles Liu as he explores the monumental achievements of modern celestial cartography and how all of us can use the data for free to study the
universe on our own.

A globally recognized leader and educator, Dr. Liu serves as Vice President of the American Astronomical Society (2026-2029), is president of the Astronomical Society of New York and, in 2020, was named AAS Legacy Fellow. In 2024, he was awarded the prestigious AAS Education Prize, celebrating his deep national and international impact as an
astronomy educator. Dr. Liu has published eleven popular books about astronomy and science, including _/The Handy Quantum Physics Answer Book

She is an award-winning writer and designer who covers lifestyle, real estate, architecture and interiors for James Lane Post. She previously worked as a writer and marketing director for The Independent. She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also the founder of the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Luxury Solutions.
