The Hampton Maid Book Release For Lexi At The Hampton Maid

The Hampton Maid

The Hampton Maid in Hampton Bays will host a special book release on Saturday, November 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., celebrating the release author Jerome Mark Antil’s latest book, Lexi at the Hampton Maid. Inspired by Tara’s eight-year-old daughter, Lexi, the bilingual adventure chapter book explores the challenges of growing up, finding confidence, navigating friendships and learning to stand up to bullying, all set against the familiar backdrop of The Hampton Maid.

Written by longtime family friend Jerome Mark Antil, Lexi at the Hampton Maid follows eight-year-old Lexi as she navigates the ups and downs of childhood, discovering important lessons about kindness, resilience, self-confidence and the power of friendship along the way. Blending heartfelt storytelling, humor and beautiful illustrations, the book offers a thoughtful look at growing up, with messages that resonate with readers of all ages.

Set in and around The Hampton Maid, the story captures the warmth of family life and the charm of the East End. Through conversations with family members and Harry, an elderly author who offers wisdom and guidance, Lexi learns how to face life’s challenges, embrace her individuality and recognize that the opinions of others do not define her worth.

Lexi at the Hampton Maid is a richly illustrated story about the universal experiences of growing up, designed to spark meaningful conversations between children, parents and grandparents. Its blend of humor, relatable characters and important life lessons makes it a story that families can experience and discuss together.

The book has already received praise from The Wishing Shelf, which described it as “A heartwarming story that proves kindness, courage and laughter are three of life’s greatest superpowers.”

The review also commended Antil’s ability to balance humor with meaningful messages about bullying, confidence and resilience, while highlighting the story’s memorable characters, family atmosphere and illustrations.

To celebrate the book and its special connection to The Hampton Maid, guests are invited to a special book release complete with breakfast on November 14. In honor of the occasion, The Hampton Maid will offer one complimentary children’s meal with each book purchased during the event, making it a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy breakfast together while discovering the story behind the book.

Copies of Lexi at the Hampton Maid will be available for $20 during the signing and can also be purchased at The Hampton Maid’s Gift Shop.
