Hamptons Jazz Fest Returns For 2025 Season

The 2025 Hamptons Jazz Fest kicks off in style on Sunday, June 22, with a lively community celebration at the Southampton Arts Center. The Kick-Off Party features the Hamptons JazzFest All-Star Ensemble, a group including Michael Cruse, Bill O’Connell, Edward Perez, Ada Rovatti, Emedin Rivera, and Claes Brondal. This vibrant gathering sets the tone for a season filled with musical spontaneity, virtuosity, and the creative spirit that helps define the East End’s summer soundscape.

A series of exciting collaborations with Jazz at Lincoln Center at the Southampton Arts Center that brings some of the jazz world’s finest talents to the East End. On July 12, the Piazzolla Mulligan Project offers a genre-blending exploration of classical tango and cool jazz. August 2 features the Elio Villafranca Quintet, known for their compelling Afro-Caribbean rhythms, while August 16 delivers an electrifying Masters of Jazz performance with legends Lenny White, Buster Williams, Benito Gonzalez, and Emilio Modeste. The series concludes with a Haitian Heritage Celebration on September 7, featuring Godwin Louis’ Experience Ayiti Project—a powerful fusion of jazz and Haitian roots music.

In Sag Harbor, the historic Masonic Temple serves as a home to Jazz Fest, offering an intimate listening environment for performances. Highlights include the Alex Sipiagin Quartet on July 6, the Spike Wilner Trio with guests on July 19, and a Special Guest Artist on September 6. The Kirk Knuffke Quartet, on September 27, offers a partnership with the Sag Harbor American Music Festival.

Over in Bridgehampton, the Hampton Library hosts a series focused on rising voices in jazz. On July 9, the Jake Herzog Quartet takes the stage, followed by Rico Jones’ Bloodlines on July 23, and the Neta Raanan Quartet on July 30.

On August 10, head to Montauk’s Second House Museum for “Jazz by the Sea,” a double bill featuring Richard Baratta & Gotham City Latin/Jazz Quintet and the Ada Rovatti Quartet.

At The Church in Sag Harbor, four standout performances take place. On July 18, Santi Debriano’s Bembe Arktet brings Afro-Caribbean jazz to the forefront. July 25 features Brazilian Voyage with Nilson Matta and Chico Pinheiro, followed by the Brian Charette Quartet with Joel Frahm and Sheryl Bailey on August 8, and the Jane Ira Bloom Quartet on August 29, joined by Mark Elias, Matt Wilson, and Dawn Clement.

The legendary Harlem Gospel Choir makes a much-anticipated return on August 11 at Bay Street Theater. Their performance, “The Magic of Motown,” promises an evening of soul-stirring music and spiritual uplift.

LTV Studios in Wainscott brings a dual offering of solo brilliance and ensemble performances. The McIver Piano Jazz Series returns with solo recitals from Roberta Piket (July 7), Phil Markowitz (July 20), Julius Rodriguez (August 18), and Bill O’Connell (August 25). In addition, the Jazz Spotlight series presents dynamic quintets including the Camille Thurman Quintet on August 15 and the Mike Rodriguez Quintet on August 28.
