Sollis Health, a members-only medical concierge service, has opened a new private medical clinic in Water Mill. The pop-up location is available to members in addition to the company’s existing Hamptons offering, which include house-calls, telemedicine, and Covid-19 testing.
Sollis’ new facility, located at 760 Montauk Highway, is open seven days a week and guarantees no wait and no appointment needed. Staffed with emergency trained providers, the clinic offers an on-site lab and services ranging from basic to advanced urgent care.
We caught up with co-founder Andrew Olanow to learn more.
Tell us a little about the company, the concept, and the services you offer:
Sollis Health is a members-only medical concierge service with centers in New York and Los Angeles (and outposts in the Hamptons and Miami), staffed with expert ER physicians and equipped with comprehensive, on-site labs and advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray). Sollis offers house-call services in the New York City area, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, and Miami in addition to global telemedicine, care-navigation, specialist access, and patient advocacy. Sollis acts as your medical partner whether treatment begins or ends at one of our centers, which can handle 90 percent of what a traditional ER treats, or if you require connection with our network of leading specialists.
What inspired you to start Sollis Health?
Sollis was founded with one goal in mind, and that is to offer high-quality care for any medical issue at any time, with no waits and no appointments necessary. That’s what makes Sollis Health special. Even before the pandemic, emergency rooms were overwhelmed in sometimes chaotic and unpleasant conditions. Seeking care can be stress inducing. At Sollis, members can see a doctor 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If a member prefers to have a physician come to the house, we can arrange for that too, any time of the day or night.
Tell us about your background and what brought you to this point:
Prior to Sollis, I spent over a decade as a healthcare investor and analyst. I have previously consulted for many health systems, and I’ve advised multinational institutions toward more effective and efficient healthcare models. I have always felt strongly that improvements can be made — and are always necessary — in the American healthcare system.
How does the Sollis Health membership work?
New members apply via our website, www.sollishealth.com. After a very brief on-boarding process, they then get immediate access to our centers and 24/7 telehealth hotline — with absolutely no wait times or appointments necessary.
What brought you to the Hamptons?
Many of our members were spending a lot of time in the Hamptons even before the pandemic, and the last year has made that even more apparent. We wanted to provide another way to access Sollis care beyond our existing house calls service. There are only a few urgent care facilities and a single hospital available on the East End to serve a community that just keeps growing and becoming less transient. We are confident that Sollis can provide real value to our members — both existing and new — by offering a private, safe, and calming space specifically geared to their medical needs. At the same time, we hope to help relieve some of the burden carried by the local institutions.
What’s next for Sollis Health?
We continue to expand our presence in New York in Los Angeles, while also opening our first center in Palm Beach before the end of the year. In the Hamptons, we’re excited to provide rapid Covid testing for public and private events this summer.
Instead of being greeted by your host or a clipboard or a seating station, you’ll be greeted by a rapid test! The 30-minute Lucira test is a nasal swab comparable to gold-standard PCR tests. It provides an extra layer of safety and security for anything from clambakes to benefits, birthday parties, and weddings.
