Landcraft Garden Foundation in Mattituck presents its first Poetry in the Garden event on Saturday, July 20, featuring poets Jill Bialosky, Kimiko Hahn, and Anne Marie Macari. Guests are invited to explore the Landcraft Garden and enjoy refreshments and light bites prior to the readings, which begin at 6 PM.
Ellen Darion, a resident of Southold, is the Chair of the Poetry in the Garden Committee. She is a writer and editor who has taught creative writing, tutored students at CAST, and worked at Houghton Mifflin, Bedford St./Martin’s, and The Paris Review.
She commented, “We are both thrilled and honored to present three leading poets at the most beautiful cultural center on the North Fork. Landcraft Garden was founded in part to bring our community together in a place of peace and tranquility. I can’t think of a better setting for Bialosky, Hahn, and Macari to read their work.”
The garden is located at 4342 Grand Avenue in Mattituck. Doors open at 5 pm. Tickets may be purchased for $50 ($45 members) at landcraftgardenfoundation.org and on Eventbrite.
