Inspired by the Sanskrit word, symbol and ancient mantra, “OM”, Montauk OM is bringing an all-inclusive space with offerings for the mind and spirit to Montauk’s downtown. From the owner of Left-Hand Coffee Shop, Yannis Papagiannis, the yoga studio is slated to open May 12.
Previously home to BYoga, Montauk Om plans to welcome beginner to advanced practitioners alike to explore their mind and body with the help of its teachers. Instructors include Mariah Betts, Ashley Mcgee, Christine Hoar, and Amy Seminski.
“The idea behind Montauk OM is to offer an all inclusive space for every body to come and connect with the natural world,” said wellness director Maria Betts. “OM will be offering different levels of classes to suit everyone from beginners to devoted practitioners.”
The transformed studio is simple, minimalist, Zen, earthy — decorated with a few pieces of art and plants, and has earth-color wooden floors. Classes including Slow Flow, Power Flow, Flow, Sculpt and Ashtanga Inspired Flow, will be offered both on weekdays and weekends.
