The Hampton Ballet Theatre School presents its twelfth annual production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s beloved “Nutcracker” on Friday, December 17, at 7 PM, Saturday, December 18 at 1 and 7 PM, and Sunday, December 19 at 2 PM, at Stony Brook Southampton’s Avram Theater.
The ballet is choreographed by the director of HBTS, Sara Jo Strickland, and includes beautiful costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera, Sara Jo Strickland, and Kate McManus and lighting design by Frank Imperiale. HBTS Apprentice Holiday Bovio will be featured along with Pro Student Level 8 advanced dancers Corrina Castillo, Lauren Halsey, Marrina Jacka, Ana Kastrati, and Sedona Silvera, who will be performing their final Nutcracker this year and will all dance featured roles with special guest artists from New York City.
Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s Nutcracker will enchant those of all ages, as the students of HBTS transport the audience to a land where angels, snowflakes, and flowers dance and Clara saves the Nutcracker Prince from the evil Mouse King. The Nutcracker will produce holiday cheer for all, as everyone celebrates in the Land of Sweets.
