Cocktails Courtside To Benefit Kings County Tennis League

Kings County Tennis League is hosting its second annual Cocktails Courtside fundraiser on Saturday, August 27, from 2 to 5 PM in Water Mill.

Guests will get to meet professional tennis player Christina McHale, who got her start in local USTA Eastern tournaments and went on to become a member of the US Olympic Team (Reaching as high as #24 in the WTA singles rankings) and defeated Caroline Wozniacki during her No. 1 run.

They’ll also get to meet Rohan Bopanna, who is currently ranked ATP World Doubles #21, before he heads to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the US Open. Attendees will have the chance to return serves from both Christina and Rohan and can also register for the Pre-Event Clinic or the Day of Tennis Package to play on the court with both tennis pros.

The event will feature a discussion moderated by KCTL founder Michael McCasland with Rohan, Christina, and some of the KCTL youth. Those in attendance can also partake in a live auction of items including US Open President Suite tickets and tickets to “Hamilton.”

All proceeds benefit KCTL, which intentionally uses tennis as a medium to support positive youth development and social and emotional learning (SEL) and provides free, year-round tennis and education programs to more than 500 children living in and around six public housing developments in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
