Frosty Fables Writing Contest: Enter to Win

O come all ye wriiiters, Time to be creaaative…

Georgia Warner, daughter of JLP co-publisher Bridget LeRoy, decided to pick up the editorial baton when The Independent’s incredibly popular children’s “Boo: Short and Scary Story Contest” ended.

But she took it a step further, opening the contest to writers of all ages and for other holidays as well — and with a cash prize.

Though largely inspired by “Boo!,” ShtoryTime! was built with a different set of guidelines. Unique to ShtoryTime! is the chance for all writers, from novices to award-winning authors, to join the creative challenges.

Warner’s “Shtorytime!” (combining the words “short” and “story”), in keeping with the season, is opening the contest to “Frosty Fables,” with writing prompts sent out December 14 and a December 21 deadline. The sleigh race is on!

“This year’s fabulously festive writing prompts will be sent out on Wednesday, Dec 14th at 12 PM, but only registered contestants may view the prompts. Writers can register at any point during the contest, but the sooner you register, the sooner you can start writing,” said Warner.

Winners will be announced, published, and compensated on December 25.
