Fyli, a female master-mind group that focuses on bringing together female leaders, will presents an Active Listening Panel on #StopAsianHate with Azia Celestino, Tiffany Pham, Tian He, and Linda Ong on Thursday, April 15, at 6:30 PM.
“There has been a significant and deeply troubling increase in anti-Asian hate crime and bias incidents in the US. We are devastated by each new incident brought to light, and the tragic murders in Atlanta are yet another heartbreaking and upsetting event in what seems an unending line of horrors,” read an email from the group. “As a company rooted in community, we cannot stand idly by while things like this take place.”
In 2020, Fyli launched a monthly event series called Active Listening that Leads to Understanding as a way to address social injustice, amplify diverse voices, and support under-served and marginalized communities.
Azia Celestino, an on-air host, journalist, and SAG actor, will moderate the discussion. She currently anchors on Cheddar. She also hosts “Keep It Short with Azia,” a short form news series on TikTok and Instagram.
Panelist Tiffany Pham is the Founder and CEO of Mogul, the world’s leading diversity recruitment company. Tian He is a co-founder and a lead organizer of StandWithAsians, a grassroots movement that aims to raise awareness of discrimination against the Asian American community. Linda Ong is the CEO and Founder of CULTIQUE, the cultural insights and strategy venture of CIVIC (a Seacrest Global Group Company).
This event will be free and open to the public. Attendees can register on Eventbrite. When registering there will also be an option for donations to be made to selected non-profits.
