As a way to honor and celebrate Earth Day this year, the Village of Greenport is hosting a “call to action,” starting at 9 AM on Saturday, April 17, at the flagpole on Moore’s Lane.
Activities will vary from light litter removal to trail and passage clearing, based on personal comfort levels.
Volunteers of all ages and abilities with their own masks, gloves, and tools are encouraged, and welcome to participate.
“Please help us renew and revitalize our amazing slice of this heavenly planet,” said an email from the Village. “Let’s all do our part to give Mother Earth some heart!”
