ARF's Pet Celebration Day & 50th Anniversary

ARF Hamptons 124 Daniels Hole Road, Wainscott, NY, USA

Bring the whole family, pets too, for a tail-wagging pet fair at the ARF Adoption Center in East Hampton dedicated to the joy our cats and dogs bring and the impact of ARF's rescue efforts for the last 50 years and the next 50 years to come. Learn about ARF’s programs and services while enjoying other attractions and local business vendors, including food, food trucks, music, contests, the dog agility course, “Ask the Vet,” and “Ask the Trainer” and free nail clipping. Plus, be a part of ARF’s 50th Anniversary Mosaic Photo Installation, and so much more. There will be a brief presentation by ARF’s Executive Director/CEO Kim Nichols to celebrate the momentous occasion including proclamations from local politicians. James Lane Post will also be on hand to announce the winner of their annual Pet Photo Contest. Free admission for all.

Ty Wenzel

Ty Wenzel, a recent breast cancer survivor, started her career as a fashion coordinator for Bloomingdale’s followed by fashion editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine. She was also a writer for countless publications, including having published a memoir (St. Martin's Press) and written features for The New York Times. She is an award-winning writer and designer who covers lifestyle, real estate, architecture and interiors for James Lane Post. She previously worked as a writer and marketing director for The Independent. She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also a co-founder of the meditation app for kids, DreamyKid, and the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Hamptons Social Media.
