Cities of Peace Kosovo Project

 As part of a three-day celebration at Ashawagh Hall to honor the remarkable legacy of artist, writer, and poet ELLEN FRANK, which includes an exhibition of paintings and works on paper dating from the 1980s through early 2018, which opens with a reception on Friday, April 12th at 5:00 pm,  there will be a presentation of the Cities of Peace Kosovo Project on Saturday, April 13, at 2:00 pm with speakers to include architect Lee Skolnick, Southampton Arts Center director and curator Christina Strassfield,  and Luma Krasniqi and Luiza Thaqi (from Kosovo via video).

On April 14 at 11:00 am will be a Reading of the Poetry of Ellen Frank by family and friends, including Maria Pessino, Gabriele Raacke, Teri Kennedy, Bill Chaleff, and Elena Prohaska.

The exhibition will be on view from Friday to Sunday, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Ty Wenzel

Ty Wenzel, a recent breast cancer survivor, started her career as a fashion coordinator for Bloomingdale’s followed by fashion editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine. She was also a writer for countless publications, including having published a memoir (St. Martin's Press) and written features for The New York Times. She is an award-winning writer and designer who covers lifestyle, real estate, architecture and interiors for James Lane Post. She previously worked as a writer and marketing director for The Independent. She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also a co-founder of the meditation app for kids, DreamyKid, and the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Hamptons Social Media.
