Children's Museum Of The East End Welcomes Fall With Return Of Weekly Programming
The Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE), 376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, NY, will welcome the return of its fall programming beginning Tuesday, October 6, with a lineup of weekly classes designed to encourage creativity, exploration, learning and connection through play.
From making music and experimenting with new ingredients to getting messy with sensory materials and creating works of art, CMEE’s fall classes offer young children and their grownups opportunities to learn, play and spend time together throughout the season.
Fall programming includes:
Music with Ms. Leah
Tuesdays, October 6 through December 15 | 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. | Ages 0–3
Young children and their grownups are invited to sing, dance and celebrate developmental milestones together. Designed for young babies and toddlers, the music class celebrates the bond between child and caregiver while introducing simple techniques families can continue at home.
Cost is $10 for members and $30 for non-members, which includes Museum admission. There will be no classes November 17 or November 24. The October 27 class will be part of CMEE’s Baby’s First Halloween celebration.
Little Chefs
Tuesdays, October 6 through December 15 | 10 to 11 a.m. | Ages 2–4
Little chefs and their grownups will head into the kitchen to chop, mix, blend and discover new ingredients together. Using fresh produce, participants will create simple, healthy and delicious dishes while encouraging children to explore food in a fun and hands-on environment.
Cost is $25 for members and $55 for non-members, which includes Museum admission. There will be no class October 27.
Sensory Play
Wednesdays, beginning October 7 | 10 to 11 a.m. | Ages 18 months–3 years
Children are encouraged to get messy during this hands-on class featuring age-appropriate materials, textures and sensory experiences. Each session uses open-ended play to encourage curiosity, creativity, exploration and learning.
Cost is $10 for members and $35 for non-members. There will be no class November 25.
stART Studio
Fridays, October 9 through December 18 | 10 to 11 a.m. | Ages 2–4
CMEE’s budding artists can discover the foundations of art making through a variety of safe, multisensory materials. In addition to encouraging creativity, the program is designed to help children develop fine motor skills and provides opportunities for early socialization.
Cost is $10 for member children and $35 for non-member children, which includes Museum admission.
