The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center will visit the Amagansett Free Library on Saturday, October 17 from noon to 1 p.m. for a special Owl Story Time, giving children and families an opportunity to meet one of the Center’s Owl Ambassadors and learn more about these fascinating birds.

During the interactive program, guests will meet an Owl Ambassador from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, learn about the species and hear the Ambassador’s personal story. The afternoon will also include a fun story featuring owl characters, combining reading and wildlife education for young animal lovers.

Through its Education Ambassador program, the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center helps introduce the community to native wildlife while teaching children and adults about the animals with whom we share Long Island. The Center’s non-releasable animal ambassadors provide a unique opportunity for participants to see wildlife up close while developing a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural world.

Owl Story Time will take place on Saturday, October 17 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Amagansett Free Library, 215 Main Street, Amagansett, NY 11930.

The program is presented in person and is geared toward children and families. Registration is required. For additional information and to register, visit the Amagansett Free Library’s website.
