Step back in time for a hauntingly fun day of history and Halloween at our Haunted Village Experience! Join us for the return of this beloved event as the past comes alive—and perhaps a little undead—with eerie tales and festive delights inspired by Long Island's own haunted legends.
Explore our historic grounds filled with:
- Safe trick-or-treating throughout the village
- Costume Contest with prizes for the most creative, creepy, or historically inspired attire!
- Chilling folklore & ghost stories rooted in Long Island lore
- Live 19th-century music to set the tone
- Witch’s broom making demonstrations—see how brooms were made and the folklore that followed
- Pumpkin carving for hands-on fun
- Readings of classic spooky American tales by authors Edgar Allan Poe and Washington Irving
- Learn about historic superstitions that led to some of today's legends
- Spooky displays of the odd and eerie
Whether you’re a curious child or a history-loving adult, there’s something enchanting for everyone. Costumes are strongly encouraged—so dress your best… or your worst!
