Savor The Past, Taste The Future: Mirabelle Tavern’s Next Chapter In Dining Excellence

As the spring season debuts, the iconic Stony Brook property at the Three Village Inn is thrilled to announce a reimagined Mirabelle Tavern. The culinary team has spent the past several months developing a delicious new menu that features a mix of longtime Mirabelle favorites and innovative French and American dishes. The new menu will be unveiled on March 19th.

A landmark in Stony Brook Village, The Three Village Inn dates back to the 18th century. The legendary homestead has long been a destination for expertly crafted cuisine, where classic flavors meet modern innovation. For nearly two decades, Lessing’s Hospitality Group has been at the helm of Mirabelle Tavern, bringing its 135 years of hospitality expertise to this beloved dining destination.

In honor of that legacy, Mirabelle introduces the 1890 Burger—a nod to the year Lessing’s was founded and its longstanding commitment to culinary excellence. The team has spent months perfecting the burger— sampling meat blends, refining toppings, and dialing in cooking techniques. The 45-day custom dry aged beef patty from Pat LaFrieda is meticulously crafted from a blend of the most flavorful cuts and ensures the ultimate flavor and tenderness that every burger aficionado is seeking. It gets better from there: the 1890 Burger comes topped with Tillamook smoked cheddar, white onion and a special sauce, all stacked on a freshly baked sesame seed bun.

“Our team has spent months perfecting the 1890 Burger, drawing inspiration from some of New York City’s iconic burger spots. After countless adjustments to the blend, we decided to embrace simplicity, letting the burger shine on its own. We’re confident it stands up with the finest burgers you’ll ever taste,” shares Michael Lessing Jr., Director of Restaurant Operations for Lessing’s Hospitality.

Mirabelle Tavern currently serves lunch Wednesday through Saturday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., dinner Wednesday through Saturday 5 - 9 p.m. and Sunday 4 - 8 p.m. and Sunday brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
