The East Hampton Library will host a free Zoom event featuring Helen A. Harrison, author of the “Art of Murder” mystery series, interviewed by author Carrie Doyle, on Friday, January 8, at 6 PM. The presentation will include an interactive Q & A.
Harrison is currently the director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in Springs. She was previously curator of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton and Guild Hall Museum in East Hampton.
She is the author of several books, including “Hamptons Bohemia: Two Centuries of Artists and Writers on the Beach” (with Constance Ayers Denne) and, most recently, three mystery novels in the “Art of Murder” mystery series.
The series includes “An Exquisite Corpse,” “An Accidental Corpse,” and “An Artful Corpse.” All of the books are set in the New York art world and include fictionalized mysteries involving famous 20th century artists — Wifredo Lam, Jackson Pollock, and Thomas Hart Benton.
Doyle is a best-selling author whose most recent book is “Death on West End Road,” the latest installment of The Hamptons Murder Mystery Series, set at a fictional East Hampton inn. “The Murder Game,” a young adult thriller, will be released in April, followed by “It Takes Two to Mango,” the first book of her Trouble In Paradise series, which will debut in June.
