Wine lovers and cycling enthusiasts can come together for a fall outing at i-tri’s fifth annual Hamptons Ride and Wine on October 9.
With a choice of 10-mile and 30-mile routes, cyclists will tour the Hamptons departing from the home of Molly Channing, adjacent to Channing Daughters Winery in Bridgehampton. Participants will finish their rides at the sculpture garden with a buffet lunch and wine tasting curated by Molly Channing.
The ride is not competitive and is open to cyclists at all levels. The entry fee for either length is $175 and includes a buffet lunch, wine, sag-support on the routes, and a T-shirt. Those who prefer to skip the ride can still partake in the luncheon and wine tasting for the same fee.
Cyclists doing the longer route will set out promptly at 7:30 AM, while those biking 10 miles will leave at 8:30 AM. Lunch will be served at noon. Cyclists and sippers meet in the sculpture garden, 1947 Scuttlehole Road in Bridgehampton. Advance registration is encouraged and can be done online at itrigirls.org.
The proceeds benefit i-tri, a local non-profit that empowers middle school girls through supportive training in the sport of triathlon. Ride and Wine is the kick-off of i-tri’s Giving Day Campaign, which will culminate in the day long live Give-a-Thon on October 27.
Update: Due to weather, this event was rescheduled for this Sunday, October 9.
