The Parrish Art Museum presents its first outdoor Jazz on the Terrace concert of the season on Friday, July 2, at 6 PM, featuring trombonist/vocalist/composer Seth Weaver and his quartet. The event takes place outdoors on the Museum’s covered Terrace, and on the event lawn, weather permitting.
Weaver has rapidly established a reputation as one of the most exciting new jazz names on the New York City jazz scene with his brilliant trombone solos, rich baritone vocals, and original compositions. His most recent project, the big band album “Truth,” was released in March 2020. He has performed at Dizzy’s, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and Bass Performance Hall, among many other venues. Weaver has shared the stage with jazz greats including Ben Folds, Larry Harlow, Bucky Pizzarelli, Ulysses Owens Jr., Luis Bonilla, and Manhattan Transfer.
Advance online ticket purchase with pre-event registration is required. Guests may attend the concert at the Museum or watch the livestream on the Parrish YouTube channel. Those attending in person are encouraged to visit the Covid guidelines section of the website at parrishart.org, and to bring their own chairs as Museum seating is not available.
