Katy’s Courage is hosting its tenth annual skate-a-thon at Buckskill Winter Club in East Hampton on Saturday, March 5, beginning at 10:30 AM. All proceeds will benefit Katy’s Courage.
Throughout the day, participants and viewers may stop by the annual bake sale for treats and partake in a raffle drawing.
Starting at 10:30 AM there will be a parents and kids hockey game. The cost is $35 per player and pre-registration is required. At 12:15 PM, there is a learn to skate class. From 1:15 to 2:45 and 3:15 to 5:30 PM, enjoy public skating.
At 3 PM there will be a puck throw. The cost is $5 per puck. At 4 PM, try curling. The cost is $20 per person and pre-registration is required.
At 5:45 PM the Ice Show Warm Up starts, followed by the show at 6:30 PM. At 7:30 there will be a raffle drawing.
To conclude the day’s activities there will be an adult hockey game at 7:45 PM. The cost is $35 per player and pre-registration is required.
Katy’s Courage is a not-for-profit organization honoring Katy Stewart, an inspirational 12-year-old girl who died from a rare form of pediatric liver cancer. The organization is dedicated to supporting education, children’s bereavement support, and pediatric cancer research.
