Keyes Art in Sag Harbor presents the exhibit “Textures” at Hans Van de Bovenkamp Studio at 93 Merchants Path in Sagaponack.
Renowned for this monumental sculpture created primarily for open-air public locales, Hans Van de Bovenkamp has been described as an artist-mystic whose work — with its signature power, lyricism, and grand proportions — heightens the viewer’s sense of imagination and discovery. He is best known for his large-scale abstract work in bronze, stainless steel, painted steel, and aluminum.
The artists “explore primarily the surface through bold color, through the surface, through alluring texture,” said Julie Keyes of the show.
Artists include Judith Henriques-Adams, Walter Bobbie, Hans Van De Bovenkamp, Arnold Hoffman Jr., Nathan Slate Joseph, Ben Leone, John MacWhinnie, Maria Schon, and Peter Solow.
The exhibit will run through July 30. An opening reception will be on Saturday, June 15, from 4 to 7 PM.
