An art show featuring the works of artists Rossa Cole and Dee Coss will be held at Ashawagh Hall in Springs on June 14 to 17.
An artist’s statement from Cole read: “The looming presence of the destruction of our planet seems inevitable. From dirt to air to water, nothing seems safe from the clutches of our waste. The results of our producing, packaging, transporting, wearing, wiping, sleeping, waking, walking, eating will always end with trash. These pieces hope to bring awareness to the plight of the things we throw out as well as to remind the viewer that we can use this waste for other means, in this case, art.”
There will be an opening on Friday, June 14, from 5 to 8 PM.
