The Church in Sag Harbor presents interdisciplinary artist and performer Olga Tomkowiak with a performance of “Visual Poetry” on Friday, June 14, from 6 to 7 PM. Accompanied by words written by Frederic Tuten, Tomkowiak will show a selection of short visual poems that incorporate body, object, space, and sound.
By exploring the connection between them, Tomkowiak creates worlds and scenarios in which the ordinary becomes odd, and the distinction between subject, object, and space begin to blur. Tomkowiak describes her practice as a mixture of theatre, dance, poetry, and fun.
Tickets are $10 for free for members with RSVP.
