Sag Harbor Police Chief Austin J. McGuire is the featured Knowledge Friday speaker at The Church in Sag Harbor for the month of April.
Known locally as “A.J.,” McGuire has lived in Sag Harbor for 23 years and has held the position of Police Chief since 2016. Prior to working in Sag Harbor, AJ held four different positions, over the course of 18 years, at the East Hampton Town Police Department: Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant.
AJ lives in Sag Harbor with his two daughters, Lillian, a Pierson graduate and a freshman at Indiana University, and Caroline, a Pierson junior. AJ will be joined by The Church’s Co-Founder, April Gornik, who will interview A.J. on his career in law enforcement and ties to the village.
The event will be held on Friday, April 7, at 6 PM. The costs is free for members and $10 for non members.
