The first Maestro Cares Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament was held on April 5, at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. Over 100 guests and players came out to support the cause at the Biltmore Golf Course.
Among them were Marc Anthony, Henry Cárdenas, Latin music stars Chayanne, Nicky Jam; World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee, Juan “Chi Chi” Rodriguez; Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, Mariano Rivera; actor and musician, Carlos Ponce; TV and Radio Personalities, Karina Banda, Enrique Santos and DJ Extreme; former NFL players Nat Moore, Mark “Super” Duper, John Offerdahl; pro-golfer Kyle Roi; writer and philanthropist Laura Posada; artist Romero Britto, and more.
Southampton gallery owner and tournament Host Committee Member Yubal Márquez Fleites of Arte Collective – Contemporary & Fine Art was also in attendance. Arte Collective sponsored the “Closest to The Pin” Award and presented the winner with a one-of-a-kind sculpture by artist Yenny Carruyo.
The winning team included Reynaldo Nader, George Nader, Miguel Cabral, Nelson Menda, and Kyle Roig.
Maestro Cares Foundation improves the quality of life of disadvantaged children and communities in Latin America and the United States. They do so by providing housing, educational programming, and the essential resources to support their growth and development. Through the foundation’s efforts, they are strengthening communities and helping children become tomorrow’s leaders.
