Ma’s House, an artist’s space based on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton, presents “Entre Mis Mundos,” a solo exhibition that includes figurative painting and mixed media drawings by artist Sueey Gutierrez.
The artwork explores Gutierrez’s connection with the natural world as a source of healing and emotional release. The artist celebrates the profound beauty of nature while exploring the depths of the soul through the elements of earth, wind, air, and fire.
A public opening reception will be take place on Saturday, September 23, from 6 to 8 pm. The exhibition will run through November 25. RSVP at mashouse.studio.
Join for a early sneak preview of the exhibit and the unveiling of the new Ma’s House ramp at a Friendraiser on Thursday, September 21. The Friendraiser is to raise funds for an accessible ramp and deck for Shinnecock elders and others with physical limitations to easily access the community art space as well as to help Ma’s House’s mission to support BIPOC artists and to engage the community.
