Navy Beach hosted a “MTK for Maui” Fundraiser Luau on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 to support the Hawai’i Community Foundation and the Maui Strong Fund. The event featured a Maui Strong food and drink menu accompanied by live music from Rum Punch Mafia and Winston Irie. The event raised over $10,000 from the special menu, silent auction 50/50 raffle, and children’s bracelets made and sold by local kids. which will be donated directly to the Maui Strong Fund.
In response to the devastating wildfires on Maui, the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation has activated the Maui Strong Fund to provide flexible resources to support Maui residents.
Funding will address evolving needs, including shelter, food, financial assistance and other services as they are identified by on-the-ground partners doing critical work on Maui.
